“ Surf and Turf Burrito 4 stars for flavor and experience. Solid 3.5 stars overall , but rounding up. Rolandos used to be my spot in Point Loma until they closed down a couple of years back. The location in Barrio Logan however has a similar menu with familiar yet unique flavors. The Surf and Turf is chocker full with tender steak and shrimp with a smattering of rice, cheese and special white sauce - wow definitely still in my top 5 burritos in San Diego. Portion is above standards, and the creamy, savory, and slightly spicy profile will keep you coming back - that is on special occasions only. As some have mentioned, prices here are a premium. With tax and extra credit card fees, the Surf and Turf was just under $17 - if you want pickled carrots and onions it's an extra $2.14. I've been working in and out of National City/Barrio Logan for years, and I've seen the COVID inflation uncomfortably grow. Compared to other taco shops in the area, Rolandos is overall unjustifiably higher. If prices came down a touch, I'd likely frequent here 2-3 time per week rather than a 1-2 time per year special occasion - bummer. ”

“ When in Rome you eat !! Woke up bright and early to try the variety of coffee shops in Logan San Diego. I had a bad craving for a good breakfast burrito. I used Yelp and this was the spot it lead me to. Bacon breakfast burrito was the bomb. The bacon was super crispy. The combination of juice from my burrito and the sour cream I added made my nose run. That's when you know the food is delicious. Hubby had a carne asada quesadilla that was just as good. It came with a nice surprise of guacamole. Of course I had to try a little crunch in my meal. I ordered the beef taco just to taste their meat it was delish. The salsas were both good and they gave us plenty. Eat local these places have way better food than any Mexican chain restaurant. ”
